GIVE — Renovation Church

IN-PERSON GATHERING INFORMATION

Giving Makes a Difference

Thank you for your interest in supporting Renovation Church financially. The Bible says in Matthew 6:24 that the top competitor for our commitment to Jesus is money. Giving allows us to demonstrate that He is more important to us than material things. Not having cash or check on hand doesn’t have to hold you back from giving. You can be obedient today by giving online. There is no organization with more potential to change the world than the local church!

Online giving is a safe and easy way to invest in all God is doing at Renovation to reach every man woman and child with the hope of Jesus. Online Giving allows you to give via our website using a credit card, debit card, or bank account information. This option allows you to make a one-time contribution or you may create an account and set up recurring scheduled payments. You are also given the option to select specific designations for your online gifts.

Your life is busy these days, isn’t it? Between paying bills, running errands, and remembering birthdays and anniversaries, giving can easily get put on the back burner. The truth is, it doesn’t have to be this way. You can literally schedule your next gift in two minutes. Go ahead, give your brain a break.

You can also send a text message to give to Renovation Church. Simply text "Renovation" to 77977. To enable mobile giving, you must register a credit/debit card or a bank account with your online giving account. Add your mobile phone number on the account preferences page.

Checks and Cash

You can always give by check (made payable to Renovation Church) or cash. We have a time of giving during each weekend gathering, or you can mail your gift to:

Renovation Church
P.O. Box  1129
Hampstead, NC, 28443

If you choose to give cash, please consider placing it in an envelope with your name and mailing address so we can properly account for it and ensure you are eligible to deduct it on your taxes.

Stocks and Bonds

Stocks, bonds, and mutual funds are great ways to give without incurring capital gains on appreciated assets. Gifting appreciated assets results in a double tax benefit:

  1. If you’ve held the asset longer than one year (long-term capital gain property), you avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciated asset;

  2. The gifted amount is an eligible tax deduction and will be listed on your annual church giving statement.

Estate Planning

You may designate Renovation Church, Inc. to receive all or a portion of your estate after your lifetime. This type of giving may be accomplished through:

  • Will or Trust: You can name Renovation Church, Inc. in your will or trust as a beneficiary, and your estate may receive an income tax deduction for the value of your bequest. Consult with your estate planning attorney and your financial and/or tax advisor to analyze your particular situation and confirm benefits.

  • Retirement Accounts: You can name Renovation Church, Inc. as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), or other qualified retirement plans. Any amounts remaining in your plan, free of income and estate tax, will transfer to the Renovation Church. Consult with your financial and/or tax advisor to analyze your particular situation and confirm tax benefits.

  • Life Insurance: You can simply name Renovation Church, Inc. as beneficiary of part or all of your life insurance policy. You can also choose to make Renovation Church the owner of a life insurance policy that is no longer needed. When Renovation Church is made owner, you may receive a tax deduction for the amount of premiums you continue paying each year. If the policy is whole life, you may receive an immediate tax deduction for the cash value amount. Consult with your financial and/or tax advisor to analyze your particular situation and confirm tax benefits.
